Your pup gets easily bored if he doesn't have anything to do or look forward to. Boredom will have your pup have a party all day in your house. Rip papers, flower pots on the floor, chew shoes, new design to your furnitures, barking, ects... With some side effects of overweight, laziness, and/or anxiety.
Keeping your pup active is an important part of your dog's life. There is nothing like taking a stroll outside. How does it make you feel when you go outside? I'm sure it feels amazing! Now, think about how does your dog feels inside four walls all day, every day. Pretty sure the same way you would feel.
Taking your dog for walks don't need to be everyday. It could be twice or three times a week for 30 minutes. Walks will lower the chance of that so call "bad behavior" due to boredom and anxiety. As well as, laziness. "Oh, but I let my cutie pie out to the yard ". That's great that your pup has a yard, but going for a walk with you makes a difference. Try it and let us know how it goes.
